Tentang

Serving a Sharjah neighbourhood with a name that recalls one of the great scholars of hadith, Al Emam Al Nisaei Mosque honours Imam Ahmad ibn Shuayb al Nasai, the celebrated ninth century compiler of the Sunan, one of the six canonical books of Prophetic narrations. Sharjah is the third largest emirate of the United Arab Emirates, and it has earned widespread recognition as the Cultural Capital of the Arab World through its investment in museums, calligraphy biennales, and restored heritage districts along the creek. Its Islamic life is carried on through hundreds of neighbourhood masjids that welcome worshippers throughout the year. Imam al Nasai was born around the year 829 in the Khorasani town of Nasa in present day Turkmenistan. He travelled extensively in search of Prophetic narrations, studying in Khurasan, Iraq, the Hijaz, Syria, and Egypt, and compiling his famous Sunan which is admired for its careful selection and precise arrangement. He was known for the austerity of his daily life, for his loyalty to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and his Companions (may God be pleased with them), and for his courage in defending sound narrations against those who tried to circulate weak reports in their place. The architecture follows the polished modern style characteristic of Emirati mosques. A central dome clad in gleaming white stone, twin minarets crowned with crescent moons, pointed arched porticoes with geometric plasterwork, and wide ablution courtyards with chilled water for the long Gulf summer give the building a calm presence. Inside, thick carpets patterned with prayer niches guide worshippers into orderly rows, chandeliers hang from the central dome, and calligraphic panels of the Qur'anic verses praising the Prophet adorn the qiblah wall. Accurate daily prayer times for Al Emam Al Nisaei Mosque in Sharjah, together with its address, a location map, and practical visitor notes, are presented on this page for emirate residents, travellers from Dubai and Ajman, and international guests spending time in the Gulf. Sharjah is celebrated for the Heart of Sharjah restoration project, the Blue Souq, the al Qasba lagoon, and the al Noor Mosque on Buheirah Corniche. After Isha, worshippers at this mosque often exchange the warm Emirati greetings of peace, sharing dates and qahwa flavoured with cardamom prepared by volunteers, and carrying with them the quiet refinement that distinguishes hospitality throughout the cultural capital of the Arab world.
