关于

Near the heart of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, Majma al Shaykh Nur al Da'im al Malih al Islami houses a centre of worship, teaching, and community life tied to a respected Sudanese religious family whose scholarship and spiritual lineage stretch back generations. Khartoum itself is a city with a deep Islamic heritage, rising where the Blue Nile and White Nile meet, marking the confluence that Muslim geographers described as one of the miracles of God's creation on the African continent. Islam came to the Sudan in stages from the seventh century onward, carried by Arab traders and later deepened by waves of teachers from Egypt, the Hejaz, Yemen, and the western Sahel, producing a uniquely rich Sudanese religious tradition.
Sudanese Muslim life is organised to a remarkable degree around family lineages of learning, and the name al Shaykh Nur al Da'im al Malih reflects one such pious household whose members have taught Qur'an, trained reciters, written commentaries, and offered counsel to the common people for generations. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, taught that the scholars are the heirs of the prophets, and the people of Sudan have embraced that teaching by supporting their scholarly families through endowments, donations, and voluntary service, so that their mosques and centres remain open and busy.
The complex includes a central prayer hall, a Qur'anic school for children, a hall used for nights of dhikr and mawlid gatherings, a small library, and guest rooms for travellers on the way to or from Hajj. Architecturally the building reflects a modest Sudanese style, with whitewashed walls, a sand coloured dome, a single minaret, and arched windows admitting the breezes that flow along the river in the late afternoon. The interior is covered with reed mats and patterned carpets. Ramadan brings collective iftar of ful medames, asida, and karkade, shared freely with neighbours of every background. Accurate daily prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at the complex are published on this page for every worshipper in Khartoum and every guest of the beloved Sudanese capital.
