Dedicated to the noble Sayyida Fatima al Zahra, may God be pleased with her, the beloved daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, Jamia Masjid Fatima tuz Zahra serves a neighbourhood of Karachi in Sindh province, Pakistan. Karachi, Pakistan's largest city and historic port, grew from a modest fishing village called Kolachi into a cosmopolitan megacity of more than twenty million souls, home to communities from every Pakistani province, to Muhajir families who migrated from northern India in 1947, and to descendants of traders from across the Indian Ocean world.

Fatima al Zahra, the radiant one, was the youngest and most beloved daughter of the Prophet. She was born in Mecca around the year five before the hijra, raised in the blessed household of Khadija, and married to Ali ibn Abi Talib, cousin of the Prophet, may God be pleased with them. Her descendants through her sons Hasan and Husayn, the two masters of the youth of paradise, are honoured across the Muslim world as the noble Sayyids whose names continue to grace mosques, schools, and charitable foundations from Morocco to Indonesia. Dedicating a Karachi mosque to her name weaves the devotion of Pakistani believers firmly into the cherished household of the final Messenger.

The building itself follows the plain yet dignified style favoured in urban Pakistani neighbourhoods. Whitewashed walls keep the hall cool against the coastal humidity, a simple central dome rises above a carpeted prayer space, two slender minarets frame the façade, and a wide courtyard accommodates the overflow of worshippers on Fridays and during the nights of Ramadan. Fans turn slowly above the heads of the congregation, and calligraphic panels naming the household of the Prophet decorate the walls around the mihrab.

The present page lists accurate prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at Jamia Masjid Fatima tuz Zahra, together with its Karachi address, a map pin, and gentle notes for visitors arriving from the old colonial quarter of Saddar, from the blessed shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi near Clifton Beach, or from the port of Keamari. Muharram commemorations fill the courtyard with black banners and heartfelt recitations, and during the birthday of the noble Sayyida the mosque distributes sweet laddu and niyaz plates to neighbours. Every traveller to the great port city is warmly invited to step inside, send salawat upon the Prophet and his pure household, and ask the Most Merciful to grant Pakistan lasting peace, generous rain, and the gentle shelter that forever surrounded the radiant daughter of the Messenger.
