Surau Khadijah Bahriyah

Surau Khadijah Bahriyah occupies a quiet corner of Johor Bahru, its name honouring the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid radiallahu anha, the noble Makkan merchant woman who was the first to believe in his message and who supported him with unwavering love and wealth during the earliest and most difficult years of revelation. To name a house of prayer after her is to invoke her example of steadfast faith, generosity, and devotion, and the congregation here often reflects on those qualities in their own lives.
