关于

Designated officially as mosque number five hundred and four in the Qatar Ministry of Awqaf registry, Aisha bint Ahmed Mosque serves a residential quarter of Doha in the Baladiyat ad Dawhah. The mosque was endowed by a family in the memory of their late daughter Aisha bint Ahmed as a perpetual sadaqah jariyah, following a widespread Qatari tradition in which families choose to commemorate a departed loved one by building a place of worship that will continue to yield blessings on their behalf. The ministerial numbering system reflects Qatar's careful cataloguing of its more than two thousand registered mosques, each of which is maintained, staffed and funded with public and private resources to high standards. The architecture follows the clean modern Qatari style preferred by the ministry, featuring pale cream stone cladding, a single central dome of ribbed concrete tiled in turquoise, a slender minaret with a single balcony and arched windows filled with carved wooden mashrabiya panels. The entrance opens into a small courtyard paved in travertine and planted with young date palms, and separate entrances for men and women avoid congestion during peak times. Inside, the main prayer hall is lit by chandeliers of amber glass, carpeted in deep green and bordered by walls painted in soft cream with panels of Qur'anic calligraphy in the thuluth and diwani scripts. The mihrab is faced in gleaming marble with inlays of mother of pearl, and the minbar is of carved walnut with gilded detailing. A women's section occupies the mezzanine, reached by its own staircase and fitted with full wudu facilities. Friday prayers are well attended, drawing Qatari citizens in crisp white thobe and expatriates from across South and Southeast Asia, the Arab world and Europe, with sermons delivered in classical Arabic and translated summaries occasionally provided in English and Urdu. During Ramadan the mosque committee arranges iftar tables for worshippers and the homeless, and the month concludes with communal Eid prayers followed by sweet gers ogaili and Arabic coffee. Visitors staying at Doha hotels can reach the mosque by short taxi ride, dressing modestly, removing shoes and observing the quiet reverence expected of the Qatari devotional tradition.
