Mgumba Mosque

Mgumba Mosque is a neighbourhood masjid in Dar es Salaam whose name ties it to a specific local sub-area or founder, following the common East African habit of naming mosques by the geography of the streets they serve. The mosque operates as a working community institution, with the five daily prayers offered in congregation and a substantial Friday gathering drawn from the surrounding residences.
