Islamitisch Centrum Quba in Amsterdam operates as a full service Islamic centre taking its name from the historic Quba Mosque in Madinah, the first house of worship founded by the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam after the hijrah. Going beyond a simple prayer space, the centre integrates a mosque, educational institution, youth hall, library, and community services under a single roof in the Dutch capital, serving a multicultural Muslim population of Moroccan, Turkish, Arab, and Dutch convert backgrounds. Amsterdam has long been home to such integrated Islamic centres, recognising that Muslim life requires more than a place to pray five times daily, it also needs institutions for education, social support, and cultural continuity, and the Islamitisch Centrum Quba fulfills each of these roles with dedication. The main prayer hall is spacious, carpeted, and oriented toward the qibla, with mihrab, mimbar, and separate women's facilities allowing full participation by sisters.
