Anchoring the hill town of Ain Ebel in the southern Lebanese district of Nabatieh, Jami wa Husayniyah al Tayri combines a mosque and a husayniyah within a single dignified complex, serving the village families who have gathered here for generations of daily prayer, Ramadan nights, and the moving commemorations of Muharram. Southern Lebanon carries one of the oldest Islamic heritages along the eastern Mediterranean coast, with the faith arriving through the early Rashidun expeditions and later taking deeper root under successive Mamluk and Ottoman governors who oversaw the growth of villages, markets, and scholarly networks throughout Jabal Amil.

Jabal Amil, the mountainous region stretching south of Sidon and Tyre, has long been famous for its scholars who travelled to the holy cities, to Qum, to Najaf, and to al Azhar, returning to teach their villages the Qur'an, the biography of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and the noble heritage of his blessed household. Families speak with reverence of the Ahl al Bayt, above all Fatima al Zahra, Ali ibn Abi Talib, al Hasan, and al Husayn, may God be pleased with them all, whose love shapes the emotional life of every Lebanese Muslim village of the region.

A husayniyah is a gathering hall dedicated to the memory of Imam al Husayn ibn Ali, may God be pleased with him, grandson of the beloved Messenger, whose martyrdom at Karbala on the tenth of Muharram 61 AH is commemorated with poetry, sermons, and tears. Pairing a mosque with a husayniyah within one compound allows the same community to gather for the five daily prayers and for the annual mourning assemblies that renew every heart's bond to the blessed household.

Architecturally the complex reflects the Jabal Amil village style. Whitewashed walls with pale stone trim, a slender minaret, a modest central dome, wooden double doors, and a courtyard with stone benches shelter worshippers. Inside, patterned carpets stretch across the prayer hall, chandeliers of brass hang from the painted ceiling, a carved minbar faces the mihrab, and the adjoining husayniyah hosts rows of chairs for the majalis of Muharram.

Daily prayer timings for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at the complex are published on this page alongside its Ain Ebel address, a clear map pin, and thoughtful notes for visitors approaching from Bint Jbeil, Marjayoun, or the coastal cities of Tyre and Sidon. Ramadan nights bring iftars of fattoush, kibbeh, sweet knafeh, and strong Arabic coffee. Travellers exploring the south are welcomed with the famed Lebanese hospitality, invited to sit briefly within the cool interior, and affectionately encouraged to send salawat upon the beloved Messenger and to whisper a supplication for the blessed grandson of his family.
