Established by the Turkish community of Aachen in the North Rhine Westphalia region of western Germany, the Türkischer Integrations und Bildungsverein Aachen e.V. gathers worshippers from Turkish, Kurdish, and other Anatolian backgrounds in the westernmost large city of Germany, close to the borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. Aachen is famous as the imperial city of Charlemagne, whose throne still stands in the Palatine Chapel consecrated in 805. During the post war Wirtschaftswunder, Turkish guest workers recruited through the 1961 bilateral agreement settled in the industrial Ruhr and Rhineland towns, and Aachen, with its coal basin, steel works, and celebrated technical university, became home to a vibrant Turkish neighbourhood.

The name of the association, which translates as Turkish Integration and Education Association, reflects the twin aspirations of its founders. The Qur'an calls believers to seek knowledge, and the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, urged his community to seek knowledge even unto China. German Turkish families have poured energy into the education of their children, opening weekend classes in Qur'an, Turkish language, and Islamic ethics while encouraging excellence in the German gymnasium and Realschule. Integration in the association's vision means keeping faith and heritage alive while serving the wider civic life of Aachen with dignity and care.

The centre occupies a converted building in the Aachen neighbourhood, with a plain exterior, a discreet sign in Turkish and German, and a carpeted interior arranged over many years through volunteer labour. A prayer hall holds the five daily prayers and the Friday khutbah, a women's section is partitioned with ease of circulation in mind, a library holds volumes in Turkish, Arabic, and German, and a kitchen prepares simit, borek, and sweet baklava for community events.

This page lists accurate prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at the Türkischer Integrations und Bildungsverein Aachen, along with the city address and friendly notes for visitors arriving from the Aachen Hauptbahnhof, from the magnificent Aachener Dom whose octagonal chapel draws pilgrims of every faith, or from the Dutch border city of Maastricht just a short drive away. Ramadan iftars brim with Turkish lentil soup, lamb stews, pilaf, and sweet dolma. Any traveller crossing between Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands is warmly invited to step inside, greet the kind Turkish congregation, and share unhurried conversation over a small tulip shaped glass of sweet black cay that has come to symbolise the patient hospitality of this honoured Anatolian community in the heart of Europe.
